Dinner & a Movie with Jamal Joseph - March 6
On Friday March 6 at 6pm in Dodge Hall Room 413, FOCUS will host dinner and a movie with film chair Jamal Joesph. The film, Ali: An American Hero was written by Joseph. Screening followed by dinner and discussion.Synopsis: Muhammad Ali made the brutal sport of boxing much more colorful, interesting and, ultimately, satisfying. Director Leon Ichaso brings together Ali's strengths and weaknesses to create a portrait of a flawed but impressive, larger-than-life persona. Taking a close look at Ali's early years, the film works its way to one of his pivotal fights: the 1974 face-off with George Foreman. Co-stars Joe Morton, Vondie Curtis-Hall and Clarence Williams III.
